BMW X5 — Bolt Pattern & Wheel Fitment

VERIFIED = FALSE, but for a narrower reason than the first researcher gave. lugTorque IS now confirmed by a genuine BMW document: BMW of North America SIB 36 04 19, printed from BMW's own TIS and filed with NHTSA under recall 19V-541, lists engineering designation G05 / X5 and states the wheel-bolt tightening torque twice as 140 Nm. threadPitch is also now OEM-backed: BMW's own Part 573 report names wheel bolt 36 13 6 795 153 for the 2019 X5, and BMW's parts catalogue describes that exact part as M14x1,25. What remains UNCONFIRMED by any OEM document is boltPattern (5x112) and centerBore, which is why verified stays false. BOLT PATTERN STATUS: BMW does not publish bolt circle anywhere I could reach - not in PressClub spec sheets, not in the US or EU press kits, not in dealer specification guides, not in the ETK/parts catalogue, and not in the SIB. 5x112 is nonetheless very strongly corroborated by engineering-grade third parties: H&R and Eibach, TÜV-certified German spacer makers whose parts must physically fit the hub, publish per-vehicle data for the "BMW X5 (G05)" as 5x112 / 66.5 mm bore / M14x1.25 thread; and BMW bolt 36136795153 is shared across G05/G06/G07/G20 and Rolls-Royce, i.e. the whole CLAR 5x112 family. Treat 5x112 as high practical confidence but do not label it manufacturer-confirmed. CENTRE BORE: I could not OEM-confirm it, and the two common figures disagree slightly - H&R and Eibach list 66.5 mm, most wheel databases list 66.6 mm. I kept 66.6 to match the convention used by hub-ring suppliers, but it is unverified and 66.5 is equally defensible; they describe the same hub. TORQUE UNITS: BMW's spec is metric, 140 Nm. 140 Nm = 103.3 lb-ft, which is the 103 shown here. Be aware that BMW Group's US owner's manuals print the same spec as "101 lbs ft/140 Nm" (an under-rounded conversion, confirmed in BMW G20/G80/M5 and MINI USA manuals), so owners may quote 101; both settings are within tolerance, 140 Nm is authoritative. GENERATION-ADJACENT WARNING (unchanged and important): the preceding X5s, E70 2007-2013 and F15 2014-2018, are 5x120 with a ~72.5-72.6 mm bore, so E70/F15 wheels do NOT fit a G05 and vice versa. This trap is live in real parts catalogues: official BMW dealer parts sites filtered to "2020 BMW X5" still return 17-inch and 18-inch E70/F15 rims (e.g. 7.5Jx17 ET34, 10Jx19 ET21) alongside genuine G05 wheels, and generic parts sites list "BMW X5" spacers as Lochkreis 120. Also note a 5x112 Audi/VW wheel has a 57.1 mm bore and will not hub-centre on a BMW. BMW uses wheel BOLTS threaded into the hub, not studs and nuts, so aftermarket lug-nut torque tables do not apply and bolt length becomes critical if spacers are fitted. OFFSET: still the sentinel "unverified". No BMW document I read states ET. BMW's parts catalogue does carry ET in rim descriptions (e.g. 36118071998 "9,5JX21 ET:37", the style 741M front), but those listings are not reliably separable by generation on dealer sites, so I did not promote any ET into this record. ET varies by wheel style across roughly the high-20s to mid-40s and must be read off the back of the specific wheel. SCOPE: no split is warranted - the 02/2023 LCI spec sheet shows the LCI kept the same rim widths and tyre sizes, and bolt circle, bore, thread and torque are unchanged across 2019-2024. G05 production continued past 2024 (through MY2026) with the same fitment, so this row can be extended if the site widens the year range. The X5 M (F95) is a different model code and is not covered here. WHAT CHANGED vs the first record: torque is now OEM-sourced; thread pitch is now OEM-sourced; a staggered 20-inch factory fitment (9J x 20 front / 10.5J x 20 rear, 275/45 R20 front / 305/40 R20 rear) was added from BMW dealer specification guides - the first record listed only the US square 20-inch. ACTION FOR THE SITE: safe to publish the torque as manufacturer-confirmed; keep the bolt pattern and bore flagged as not manufacturer-confirmed until they can be read off a G05 owner's manual or measured.
