WHAT IS OEM-CONFIRMED: wheel and tyre sizes only, now from FOUR BMW-authored documents (two BMW NA US press kits, two BMW AG Media Information spec sheets), all of which I downloaded and text-extracted myself from press.bmwgroup.com rather than relying on the prior researcher. Their three quotes checked out verbatim — nothing was invented. CORRECTION I MADE (safety-relevant): the staggered 18in rear rim width is MARKET-DEPENDENT, and the prior record listed only the US figure. BMW NA documents 7.5J front / 8.0J x 18 rear for the US car; BMW AG documents 7.5J front / 8.5J x 18 rear for the European M340i xDrive / M340d xDrive on BOTH the 03/2021 sheet (pp. 11, 29) and the 05/2024 LCI sheet (pp. 13, 23). The prior researcher cited the 03/2021 document but read only its 16in/17in pages and missed pages 11 and 29, which contradict the single '8.0J x 18 rear' they published. Ordering an 8.0J rear for a European-spec M340i, or an 8.5J rear for a US one, is a real mis-fit. I also added the LCI changes the earlier record lacked: by 05/2024 the 6.5J x 16 fitment is gone from the range (318i/320i/318d/320d moved to 7.5J x 17) and 330e/330e xDrive moved to a square 7.5J x 18 on 225/45 R18.
