Toyota Highlander — Bolt Pattern & Wheel Fitment

VERIFIED BY ME FROM OEM DOCS: lugTorque, OEM wheel sizes, OEM tire sizes. I re-extracted these myself from all FIVE model years 2020-2024 (OM0E036U, OM0E142U, OM0E137U, OM0E055U, OM0E194U) — including MY2021, which the first researcher skipped entirely while still publishing a 2020-2024 range. Every book, every configuration: 76 ft-lbf (103 N-m, 10.5 kgf-m). 2020-2022 books list four wheel/tire configurations (Types A-D); 2023-2024 list three (A-C, the 20-inch-without-spare variant drops out). Two additional OEM sources added that the first pass missed: the TMNA US e-brochure and the Toyota GB press pack. STILL NOT OEM-VERIFIED (this is why verified=false): boltPattern 5x114.3 / 5x4.5, centerBore 60.1 mm, threadPitch M12x1.5 and oemOffset. I searched the FULL TEXT of the 2022 owner's manual for 'bolt circle', 'P.C.D.', 'pitch circle', 'offset' and 'inset' and got exactly ONE hit in 572 pages — section 6-3 'Wheel selection', which only requires replacements be equivalent in "load capacity, diameter, rim width and inset", with no number for any of them. So the manual cannot source bolt circle, hub bore, stud thread or offset, and I did not promote the flag. I made my own independent hunt for a document that could: Toyota's US publication CDN assets.sipb.toyota.com returns CloudFront 403 for both PDF and XHTML assets (I reproduced this), autoparts.toyota.com/parts.toyota.com return 403, Toyota's retail accessory API api.ws.trcat.toyota.com returns 401, the US Highlander accessories catalog lists NO accessory alloy wheels (only Alloy Wheel Locks, PT276-34231-02) and publishes no spec or installation PDF, Toyota Canada's accessory pages 404, and the Toyota GB tech-spec/press-pack PDFs stop at wheel diameter. 5x114.3 / 60.1 / M12x1.5 remain aftermarket-consensus candidates, consistent with the TNGA-K platform, but NOTHING here refutes them either — treat as unconfirmed, not as suspect. oemOffset stays the 'unverified' sentinel; the ~+35 mm consensus figure must not be published as OEM-stated. SOURCING PROVENANCE — improved: the first pass relied entirely on Toyota Canada's document host for US-market data. I confirmed that caveat is real (the US CDN is geo-blocked), but it is now partly closed: (a) www.toyota.com itself is reachable and its own manual index returns these exact publication numbers for the US Highlander, (b) the 2020 and 2021 books carry "HIGHLANDER_U" page footers, the US-market marker, and (c) the TMNA US e-brochure — served from www.toyota.com, not the blocked CDN — independently confirms both OEM wheel diameters and both OEM tire sizes. SAFETY GOTCHA THE FIRST PASS MISSED — LOAD INDEX ON 20-INCH FITMENTS. Note that the OEM 18-inch tire is 235/65R18 load index 106, while the OEM 20-inch tire is 235/55R20 load index 102 — a LOWER load rating. The 20-inch OEM fitment is only certified on the trims that ship with it. Two Toyota distributors were forced into FMVSS 110 ('Tire Selection and Rims') noncompliance recalls for getting this wrong when plus-sizing 18-inch trims: NHTSA 24V452000 (Southeast Toyota Distributors, 2021-2024 Highlander L/LE/XLE with SET-installed 20-inch accessory wheels) — SET's own remedy instructions say to "Verify SET accessory wheel and 235/55R20 tire installed" and replace with "255/50R20 109V", i.e. the very 235/55R20 102V that is OEM on Limited/Platinum is NOT adequate for the GAWR of L/LE/XLE; and NHTSA 24V419000 (Gulf States Toyota, 2022-2024 Highlander L/LE with the 20" black alloy 'Blackout Package'), remedied with 255/50R20 109V Bridgestone Alenza. Practical rule for this vehicle: when moving an 18-inch Highlander to 20-inch wheels, the tire must carry at least the 106 load index of the 18-inch OEM tire — do not copy the 102 from the OEM 20-inch fitment. GENERATION-ADJACENT: do not carry these values to the Grand Highlander (XU78, 2024+), a larger, separate platform/series. The XU70 Highlander also continues past this row's scope into MY2025; the 2024 book shows no change, but 2025+ was not checked by me and is out of scope here. Gas and hybrid share one spec table.
