Torque depends on wheel material. CRITICAL: factory ALUMINUM wheels take 97 ft-lbf; STEEL wheels (incl. the base SR's styled-steel wheel AND the full-size steel spare fitted to every trim) take 154 ft-lbf — a 59% difference. Under-torquing a steel wheel at 97 or over-torquing an alloy at 154 are both real risks. The base SR 18-inch (245/75R18) configuration lists only the single 154 value.

Torque depends on wheel material. CRITICAL, and NOT just a spare-wheel issue on this generation: SR and SR5 grades shipped from the factory on 18-inch STEEL wheels, so 154 lb-ft (not 97) is the correct FACTORY torque on a large share of these trucks. The nut seat type also differs — steel wheels use a taper-seat nut, aluminum wheels use a flat-washer-seat nut; the two nut types are not interchangeable regardless of torque applied.
