Toyota RAV4 — Bolt Pattern & Wheel Fitment

TORQUE IS SINGLE-VALUED: 76 lb-ft (103 N-m, 10.5 kgf-m) applies to EVERY wheel on this generation - all 17/18/19-inch alloys AND the steel compact spare, gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid alike. Read directly in eleven separate Toyota owner's manuals (MY2019 gas + HV, 2020, 2021, 2022 gas + Prime, 2023, 2024 Japan-prod + Canada-prod, 2025 gas + HV), in both the Specifications chapter and the roadside flat-tire procedure. There is no alloy-vs-steel torque split on the XA50, so lugTorqueSteel is deliberately omitted. CRITICAL SEAT-TYPE GOTCHA (safety) - verified verbatim: 2022 manual printed p.643 distinguishes nut seating by wheel material. Steel wheel: tighten "until the tapered portion comes into loose contact with the disc wheel seat". Aluminum-to-aluminum: "turn the wheel nuts until the washers come into contact with the disc wheel." The factory RAV4 alloys therefore use WASHER-seat nuts, not conical. Independently corroborated by Toyota's own parts arm: every XA50 wheel in the TRD catalogue is sold with its own taper-seat nut set (MS212-00001) under the explicit warning that the factory-fitted nuts cannot be used. Most aftermarket wheels need conical nuts; reusing the OEM washer-seat nuts on a conical-seat wheel (or the reverse) is a wheel-off failure mode. Flag this on any XA50 fitment page alongside the torque figure. MY2019 18-INCH - CORRECTION TO A PRIOR PASS: an earlier pass concluded the 2019 RAV4 has no 18-inch OEM fitment because the 2019 GASOLINE manual (OM0R009U) lists only 17-inch and 19-inch. That conclusion is wrong and would have denied correct data to 2019 Hybrid owners. Toyota publishes RAV4, RAV4 HV and RAV4 Prime as SEPARATE owner's manuals, and the 2019 RAV4 HV manual (OM0R010U, printed p.677) does list "Vehicles with 18-inch wheels / 225/60R18 100H / Wheel size 18 x 7J, 17 x 4T (spare)". 18x7J / 225/60R18 is valid from MY2019 onward. Conversely the 2019 HV manual has no 19-inch entry - for MY2019, 18-inch comes from the HV book and 19-inch from the gasoline book. SPARE-WHEEL TYPO IN TOYOTA'S OWN TABLE: for the 18-inch car the MY2020, MY2021 and MY2022 gasoline manuals print "Wheel size 18 x 7J, 18 x 4T (spare)" while pairing it with a 17-inch spare TIRE (T165/80D17) - internally impossible. The 2019 HV, 2022 Prime, and every manual from MY2023 on print the correct "18 x 7J, 17 x 4T (spare)". Treat 17x4T as the 18-inch car's spare; the 18x4T spare belongs only to the 19-inch cars (T165/90D18 107M). Do not quote the MY2020-2022 "18 x 4T" as fact. NOT OEM-CONFIRMED FIELDS. centerBore (60.1) is aftermarket consensus for the TNGA-K hub only; no Toyota document found states a hub/center bore, and the owner's manuals contain zero occurrences of bore, P.C.D., thread pitch or stud spec (searched full text). oemOffset is set to the "unverified" sentinel rather than a number: no Toyota document states the factory wheel offset. The only Toyota-group offsets that genuinely belong to the XA50 are ACCESSORY wheels from TRD's XA50 catalogue - 17x7.0J ET35, 20x7.5J ET36, 17x7.0J ET38 - which bracket but do not establish the factory value; aftermarket consensus for the factory wheels is roughly +35 to +45, usable as a working range but not publishable as an OEM figure. A prior pass also cited Modellista's RAV4 spec sheet (18x7.5J ET30, 20x7.5J ET40, parts MSC13-00028/29) as XA50 evidence - that source has been REMOVED: it is dated "'26年2月現在" (February 2026) and its grade columns are GR SPORT / Z / Adventure with PHEV/HEV only, i.e. the all-new 6th-generation RAV4, not the XA50. threadPitch (M12x1.5) is inferred from TRD's RAV4 nut set MS212-00001 rather than stated as a stud spec. boltPattern 5x114.3 rests on a single numeric figure - TRD Japan's "H-P.C.D. 5H 114.3" for the TF X-Limited - tied to this vehicle by TRD's XA50-only catalogue sheet. TRD/Toyota Customizing & Development is a wholly-owned Toyota subsidiary, so this is OEM-authored, but note that no North American Toyota document states the bolt circle (normal for consumer publications). YEAR RANGE 2019-2025: confirmed, not assumed. Toyota published full 2025 RAV4 gasoline (OM0R063U) and HV (OM0R193U) owner's manuals with identical wheel/tire/torque specs, and TRD dates the 5#系 RAV4 as 2019.4-2025.11. GENERATION-ADJACENT WARNINGS: (1) MY2026 RAV4 is an all-new 6th generation - do NOT apply this row to 2026+. toyota.com's manual API returns completely empty results for RAV4 2026 under every slug (rav4, rav4 hv, rav4 prime), so 2026 specs are entirely unverified here; toyota.jp and Modellista now show that new generation (GR SPORT/Z/Adventure, HEV/PHEV, new PHEV system). (2) MY2024 is split across FOUR owner's manuals - Japan-production and Canada-production, each through-June-2024 and from-July-2024 production. Japan-prod and Canada-prod were both checked and agree exactly; there is no build-plant difference. (3) Some MY2024/MY2025 variants list a road wheel with no spare at all (tire repair kit instead of a compact spare). (4) The 19-inch cars carry an 18-inch spare - spare diameter differs from the road wheel.
