Bolt Pattern Conversion Chart
Every standard bolt pattern in millimetres and inches, then the vehicles in our database that use each one — every vehicle linked to a spec page where the pattern is stated from manufacturer documents with the source cited, and flagged until it is verified.
mm to inches — all standard patterns
The reference list our measurement calculator snaps to. Patterns marked ● link to a page listing the vehicles that use them.

Look-alike patterns — not interchangeable
Some standard patterns differ by less than a tape measure can resolve; others differ by a few millimetres but get confused because the numbers look similar. A wheel drilled for one will not seat correctly on the other. Only the vehicle's specification settles it.

The same applies across lug counts with a shared circle: 5x139.7 and 6x139.7 share a bolt circle but obviously not a wheel, and 5x114.3 and 6x114.3 likewise.
Frequently asked
Is 114.3 the same as 4.5 bolt pattern?
Yes. 5x114.3 (millimetres) and 5x4.5 (inches) are the same pattern: 114.3 ÷ 25.4 = 4.5. The same goes for every row in the conversion chart — 6x139.7 is 6x5.5, 5x127 is 5x5, 8x165.1 is 8x6.5.
How do I figure out my bolt pattern?
Count the lugs, then measure. On 4, 6 and 8-lug hubs measure center-to-center of two opposite studs — that is the bolt circle. On 5-lug hubs measure two adjacent studs center-to-center and multiply by 1.7013. Then match to the chart. If the vehicle is in our database, the finder is more reliable than a tape measure.
What are the 5 lug bolt patterns?
The standard 5-lug bolt circles are 5x100 (5x3.94), 5x105 (5x4.13), 5x108 (5x4.25), 5x110 (5x4.33), 5x112 (5x4.41), 5x114.3 (5x4.5), 5x115 (5x4.53), 5x120 (5x4.72), 5x120.65 (5x4.75), 5x127 (5x5), 5x130 (5x5.12), 5x135 (5x5.31), 5x139.7 (5x5.5), 5x150 (5x5.91). The ones with vehicles in our database are 5x112, 5x114.3, 5x115, 5x120, 5x120.65, 5x127, 5x139.7, 5x150.
Which bolt patterns are close enough to confuse?
4x98 and 4x100 (2 mm apart); 5x100 and 5x105 (5 mm apart); 5x105 and 5x108 (3 mm apart); 5x105 and 5x110 (5 mm apart); 5x108 and 5x110 (2 mm apart); 5x108 and 5x112 (4 mm apart); 5x110 and 5x112 (2 mm apart); 5x110 and 5x114.3 (4.3 mm apart); 5x110 and 5x115 (5 mm apart); 5x112 and 5x114.3 (2.3 mm apart); 5x112 and 5x115 (3 mm apart); 5x114.3 and 5x115 (0.7 mm apart); 5x114.3 and 5x120 (5.7 mm apart); 5x115 and 5x120 (5 mm apart); 5x115 and 5x120.65 (5.65 mm apart); 5x120 and 5x120.65 (0.65 mm apart); 5x127 and 5x130 (3 mm apart); 5x130 and 5x135 (5 mm apart); 5x135 and 5x139.7 (4.7 mm apart); 6x127 and 6x130 (3 mm apart); 6x130 and 6x135 (5 mm apart); 6x135 and 6x139.7 (4.7 mm apart); 8x165.1 and 8x170 (4.9 mm apart). None of these pairs are interchangeable; the ones under 1.5 mm apart cannot be told apart with a tape measure at all.
Pattern is only the first check
Matching the bolt pattern gets the wheel onto the studs. It still has to clear the hub (center bore), use nuts or bolts of the right thread and seat, and be torqued to the vehicle's figure (lug nut torque chart). Every vehicle page lists all four.
